Greetings, friends. Just wanted to hit you all with a few miscellaneous notes before we resume the mystical journey.
First, I wanted to plug this essay/list I composed for the good people over at Dead Homer Society a couple of weeks back: Anyone But Steve Allen OR 10 Gifts The Simpsons Gave To Comedy. I know a lot of you enjoy the website but wish it included more painstaking analysis of The Simpsons, so hopefully the essay will temporarily meet that need.
Secondly, I wanted to give a heads-up that I’ll be out of the country for the first two weeks of September. That’s good. But it means I won’t have ready access to a computer, which means updates may not be as on-the-spot as they may have been in the past. That’s bad. There will still be three posts/week, but they will likely come at bizarre hours of the night and in arcane Baltic languages. Keep the faith.
Thricely, I’d like to thank you all for your support of the Springfield Historical Society. I’ve put a lot of work into this site, and it’s been nice to hear that people are enjoying it and passing it along to friends. I encourage you to continue doing this. Go forth, multiply (those Facebook/Twitter/etc. buttons at the end of each post are good for this), and before long I’ll have a nice little summons from 20th Century Fox Film Corp. Excelsior!
