Pete Farndon (bass player for The Pretenders)

Boy, I can’t wait to take some of the starch out of that stuffed shirt. — Homer, “Homer Goes To College”

Peter Granville Farndon (June 12 1952 – April 14, 1983) served as the bassist for English rock group The Pretenders until he was kicked out of the band in 1982 for his drug use. A year later, he was dead, drowned in a bathtub after an OD.

His replacement, Dean “Bobby” Peterson, held down the groove in between his academic duties at Springfield College. P-Bass or perish?
